Historic Anniston Hotel Hires Birmingham Management Company
Anniston, AL February, 26th, 2009 - The Victoria, an Anniston landmark and historical hotel located on Quintard Avenue has hired the Birmingham based hotel management company Jackson Hospitality Services to oversee hotel operations.
The Jacksonville State University Foundation officially assumed ownership of the Victoria Inn in December of 2008. After an intense search, Birmingham based Jackson Hospitality Services was selected and now oversee the hotel operations. Jackson Hospitality Services currently manages 14 hotels with an additional two hotels under development. One of Jackson's full service hotels has similarities with The Victoria.
The Hotel Capstone in Tuscaloosa, Alabama is located on the campus of the University of Alabama. Neal Jackson, Vice President of Jackson Hospitality Services states, "This hotel works closely with the University of Alabama on many levels". He further adds, "It is the vision of JSU and our management company to involve JSU students in The Victoria and to give them hands on experience in hotel operations, marketing, and other programs." The JSU foundation has agreed to donate profits of the hotel to fund JSU scholarships.
